GOCARE Inc. Goes Big
The Ventura based non profit “GOCARE Incorporated,” is going big.
GOCARE was started by Ventura Rotary members several years ago. Since its launch, GOCARE has created computer labs and vocational training opportunities for children in
Mexico, Nicaragua, and Honduras.
In many of the communities people are living on less than a dollar a day.
Legacy endures in Nicaragua
After a trip to Nicaragua in 2001 with Ventura activist Alice McGrath, Jan Lindsay decided to put his experience as an accountant to work, creating the nonprofit GOCARE, Inc.
The Ventura resident’s organization is devoted to educating poor residents of Pantanal, a slum in Granada, Nicaragua.
